Adventures Abroad Reimagined
2001 Rebrand
In 2001 I joined Adventures Abroad Worldwide Travel Ltd. as art director. My first project was to rebrand the company whose identity dated back to the early 1990s. We had reimagined a new, sophisticated client-base who would prefer more active tours or art-based explorations in addition to the cultural journeys and family adventures that were already offered by the tour operator. A bright, new identity was born and rolled across all products including brochures, web site, collateral materials and office artwork.
2008 Redesign and 2012 Refresh
In 2008, I took the new identity to a higher level. By adding a premier tour class, a stronger emphasis was placed on customer service, and a premium concierge service was introduced. To bring in a more affluent client base, a redesign of the printed materials was necessary. New brand features included professionally-commissioned photography, client testimonials, detailed maps, an enhanced web experience and easy-to-read customer forms. In 2012, as a freelance project, I designed a refresh of existing materials.
